Following its preview at Milan’s Fuorisalone, Surfaces Group is taking DryTech to TECNA 2026. The new dry process, developed in collaboration with BMR, is claimed to redefine efficiency in the processing of ceramic surfaces, combining sustainability, quality, and performance.
Alongside DryTech, Surfaces Group will also be presenting UltraMatt, a surface treatment designed to achieve ultra-matt finishes of high aesthetic value. Surfaces Group will also be presenting ProTech+, the treatment that protects technical stoneware; EcoTech, the copper-free grinding wheel for more sustainable production; DampTech, designed to reduce vibration and improve squaring quality; and PowerClean, the professional range for cleaning and protecting surfaces.
DryTech stems from an advanced approach to surfaces: a process designed to optimise industrial performance, reduce energy consumption and ensure consistent, controlled quality over time. Eliminating water and optimizing production cycles is said to deliver significant energy savings, reduce waste, and improve overall line efficiency.
But DryTech is not just about efficiency; it is also about aesthetic research. The technology enables the creation of material with deep and coherent surfaces, capable of interpreting matter through a contemporary language, where aesthetics and technology interact seamlessly. The result is a balance between technical performance and design value, where every detail contributes to defining a new visual and tactile experience.
At Fuorisalone 2026, Surfaces Group only revealed DryTech’s final result while intentionally keeping the process behind it undisclosed. The full unveiling of this technology is scheduled for Tecna 2026. This exhibition will take place between 22nd and 25th September 2026 at the Rimini Expo Centre, Italy.
