BMR set to unveil Squadra Vision Plus

BMR will bring the latest evolution of its Squadra Vision Plus squaring machine to Tecna, the trend-setting tile production technology event that takes place from 23rd to 27th September 2024. Billed as a system that will open the door to a new era, the new Squadra Vision Plus is directly derived from the classic squaring machine with cameras. BMR is positioning it as an evolved system, equipped with ‘full automatic’ functionality for totally autonomous and highly engineered machining. The company also claims that, thanks to continuous technological upgrades, it embraces the concepts of Smart Factory and Industry 5.0, demonstrating multiple advantages in terms of energy saving, eco-sustainability, and reduced production costs.

Customer tests with the same material, removal rate and speed have shown that this camera technology has 40% lower grinding wheel consumption than laser and similar technologies.

The Squadra Vision Plus dry squaring machine, which has 9 or 12 calibrators per side, is said to be ideal for all types of materials and sizes up to 1,800 by 3,600mm.

At Tecna, the BMR team will also present the LeviCompact and Supershine Plus. LeviCompact is BMR’s patented solution fitted with two parallel swing bridges with 10 heads each. This allows for greater speed and coverage compared to traditional solutions, with an advantage also in terms of uniformity and productivity. In fact, BRM claims that the solution fitted with two parallel swing bridges increases production by 22% compared to the single-bridge configuration, as well as reducing floor space requirements by 45%.

BMR, a SACMI company, has been a leader in the design and construction of end-of-line process machinery for the ceramics industry for over 50 years. The company HQ is in Scandiano, Reggio Emilia. The polishing machines are produced in Schio, Vicenza. BMR USA in Crossville, Tennessee, USA supplies spare parts and after-sales services.

About diaryofatileaddict

I have been writing about the tile industry for more than 25 years. I have started this blog to share some of my knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, ceramic tiles. I also wanted to shine a light on the work of some of the artists, architects and designers around the world who work with ceramic tiles. I was the Founding Editor of Tile UK, and I am currently the Editor of three tile-related publications in the UK: Tile & Stone Journal, The Specifier’s Guide to Ceramic Tile & Calibrated Natural Stone; and TDY: Tile Design Yearbook. I am also International Correspondent for Tile Today and Discovering Stone, both published in Australia. My aim with Diary of a Tile Addict is to introduce tile enthusiasts to developments in tile design, significant architectural and interior design projects that get the best out of tiles, technological developments that are driving the ceramic tile sector forward, and breaking news from tile exhibitions around the world. I will also introduce readers to some of the talented and inspiring individuals who help make the ceramic tile world so creatively diverse, technically advanced and intellectually fascinating.
